Pianists Andrey and Oleg have known each other since childhood, from the time they studied in a music school. But their fates develop differently. One comes from a provincial family of teacher-musicians; the other is the son of respectable Moscow parents. Both are talented and charismatic. Each, in his own way, builds relationships with women. Andrey’s closed-off nature and deep immersion in music lead to conflicts at work and at home. Oleg, despite being overly sociable, also runs into harsh reality. In the end, the two pianists find themselves in a criminal situation on one of the islands of Southeast Asia. In the audiobook, the world of classical music appears as a bright many-faceted kaleidoscope, where prestigious concert halls are replaced by a rural club, famous festivals by a hands-on workshop in the provinces. Young people from a Brazilian orchestra, led by an unhinged conductor, along with a solid lawyer and a producer from Germany, come to the aid of Russian pianists. But can friends get out of this story with dignity and each keep their own love?
