Description

The play “The Usurer from St. Petersburg” based on the homonymous vaudeville by Nikolai Alekseevich Nekrasov (1821–1877). The usurer Lоскутков measures everything in money. His daughter Liza falls in love with the handsome Nalímov, Ivan Fyodorovich. Nalimov asks the usurer Loskutkov for the hand of his daughter. Loskutkov demands money from the groom. But the man in love has come up with a way to teach the stingy old fool a lesson…
