Sergey Volkov, formerly an officer in the GRU special forces and now a free shooter, receives an order (he prefers to call it an assignment) to deal “informally” with a group of raiders trying to seize a major Moscow firm.
During the job it turns out that the raiders’ actions are coordinated by a man whose fault, many years ago in Africa, a group was almost completely wiped out—Volkov Sergey himself was a member of that group.
