Early in the morning, four people set out far into the sea to hunt seals. In one kayak travel the tribe’s elder, two strong grown men, and a boy, the son of one of them. For the boy, this day is special and long-awaited, because today he is supposed to become a hunter. But disaster strikes — an unexpected storm, followed by impenetrable fog. The hunters did not drown, but they have no food and very little water. They do not know where to sail, nor when the fog will lift. Each person in the boat, according to his life experience, thinks about his own fate and the fate of his companions, and each decides for himself how he should act.
