I barely managed to sort out one unpleasant problem and rejoice for my sisters (and, of course, for myself—where would we be without that?) when, right in place of the closed question, a whole pile of new ones immediately appeared. And I have to deal with them at once, all the while remembering that the count’s title is already within arm’s reach. Besides, as a nobleman, you’re not supposed to settle matters with your fists.
Only it turns out that the nobles themselves view such “rules” in a rather peculiar way: if your honor was insulted, then it’s perfectly acceptable to do it the old way—simply knock someone’s face in. And before long you can’t help asking yourself: was it really worth worrying so much about that very noble honor?
And then the surrounding world decided to remind me of itself as well. What beauty!
