Writers Vasily Kriptonov and Mila Bachurova gained recognition through their joint literary projects in the science-fiction genre. The authorial tandem decided to try its hand at the thriller genre as part of the online literary contest “Detective 21/XXI”. The novel made it to the finals, and shortly afterward was released as a paperback book by AST. The success encouraged the co-authors to continue the story of the blogger with the nickname Neon, who uncovers the most tangled and cruel crimes.
