The Persistent One

Dad brought a coffin for her birthday… Well, what can you do— they were giving them out cheaply, and Nastya, our girl, is seriously ill; sixteen years old, she won’t make it. What else was Nastya to do, if not get terribly offended—so much so that the whole illness somehow disappeared? And there really was a “gift” — her grandfather’s old axe. Not Nastya anymore, but Nastyrnya! Still, maybe she shouldn’t have rescued an unfamiliar girl from trouble and brought her home… But who would know who that girl was and why she showed up in Nastyrnya’s friends?
