Until yesterday, Lekha Filimonov was a research associate at a respected institute. Today he is a detective without a license and a spy without technical support. Not exactly the kind of hero who could unravel the mystery of the deaths of two private armies in “Varzon Abudja.”
Varzona is a territory where automation tries to end a war that humans have fled. In the ruins of an African capital, rocket, artillery, and mortar death awaits you around every corner. And there’s also a huge, terrifying god of retribution of the Yoruba people wandering there. The field group of the Schrödinger Institute, of course, won’t march into this underworld. And for now Lekha doesn’t know that the puzzle of Varzona will have to be solved as a personal matter.
Yet soon there will be a full moon—and it’s not certain Lekha will survive it.
