By pure accident, a two-meter-tall accountant and professional monster hunter, Owen Zastava Pitt, stepped on the tentacle of one of the most powerful beings in the universe.
After that, a fanatical cult of the Reversible Death, led by the fugitive necromancer Lord of Shadows, decides to make Owen their sacrifice to attract the attention of the Ancient Ones—while the authorities attach a federal agent, Frankx, to him, officially turning him into living bait for zombies and monsters.

At the head of this company of Lovecraftian fanatics stands the necromancer Lord of Shadows—the fugitive being hunted by the Government. And to make the situation officially hopeless, Owen is assigned the federal agent Frankx and they make it clear beyond doubt: from now on, he is bait for zombie and tentaclemons monsters.
