The Witch of the Sacred Forest

The Queen of Westania couldn’t produce an heir for a long time. And the royal family decided to seek help from a witch. The price the hermit from the forest demanded suited the future parents. It’s hard to say why the proposed recipe worked, but by the spring of the next year, the queen gave birth to twins.

Two daughters — Santala and Abigan — joined the ruling dynasty. Only the health of the second newborn was under threat. Saving the princess required fulfilling the bargain: the child had to be adopted by the very witch. The people of blue blood didn’t want to keep the promise. But what could they do for the sake of the life of their beloved child!

Since then, the girl Abigan changed her name to Abigail and lived in the house of the forest witch. And Santala enjoyed the delights of court luxury.
