In the fantastic thickets that swallowed a vast metropolis thirty years ago, the most important thing is to remain human. How they managed to stay human—back then—were the ranger nicknamed “Beast,” the unsurpassed expert of the Moscow Forest, and his partner Yegor, nicknamed “Student.”
They must disrupt the plans of the Corrupted Druid, who conducts experiments on people. They must contend with the attention of mighty external forces that show heightened interest in the Forest. And together with like-minded people, they must help the fugitive prisoners of the “special sanatorium” join the inhabitants of the Moscow Forest—those who have long lived by its values: simple, accessible, understandable to anyone, whether a farmer, children of the Forest, forest avatars, or reckless partisan scavengers. These are the values:
A knife.
A friend.
A flask of water.
And one more—the most important:
THERE IS ENOUGH FOREST FOR EVERYONE!
