From the very beginning, the work carries us into a wonderful world where all living things are connected and where nature takes the most direct part in the fate of the heroes. The fairy-tale-like story “The Tree’s Treasure” (The Sparrow’s Treasure?) is one of the most interesting works by Mikhail Mikhailovich Prishvin. In it, he tells of the independent life of orphaned children, Nastya and Mitrasha. Scenes describing the children’s everyday life are replaced by fascinating adventures that fall to their lot on the way to the Slepaya Elan (Blind Meadow). Children are children: they often argue, disagree with each other, and defend what they believe is right.
