A Test of Strength

Just a little over two weeks have passed since life on the entire planet, in every corner—even the most remote one—turned upside down. A new stage in the evolution of humankind began. And now homo sapiens—the so-called intelligent human—was overthrown from the top of the food pyramid, which it had ruled for several thousand years. People stopped being the most dangerous predators. Now the new owners of towns and villages hunted people in every way available, and during their mutation they grew the teeth and claws so necessary for killing, constantly perfecting and modernizing their bodies, their organisms—for a single purpose: to kill in order to exist themselves.

But even in a time when civilization had collapsed literally within a week, breaking into countless small fragments that still had to unite into something global, humanity didn’t rush to give away the laurels it had earned honestly over centuries of wars and killings.
