Girls don’t dream of becoming astronauts as children—they’re increasingly interested in a career as an actress or, at worst, a singer. The ordinary girl Masha Lisitsyna from an ordinary district of Leningrad’s new developments dreamed in childhood of becoming a beauty from a magazine. When she grew up, her dreams had to be adjusted, and Masha decided she would appear on television with financial analysis. But the older Masha became, the more her dreams were subjected to further correction. Life seemed to be proving to Masha that nothing good, in principle, shines on people like her—ordinary and run-of-the-mill. They’re complete losers. And Masha almost started to believe it—until, at that very moment, two mysterious figures appeared on her path.
