Coming back from vacation, I couldn’t even imagine that instead of the usual gray, rainy Saint Petersburg I would end up… in a city where magic rules. And in place of the Polytechnic University, the School of Fire would be waiting for me—unexpectedly agreeing to enroll me as an initiate.
And these troubles don’t end there!
First, the fire magic I’ve been given is considered the weakest and most despised. And ahead are the Games of the Elements—a competition between magical schools, where a fire mage’s chances of survival are almost zero.
Second, my personal nightmare and sworn enemy—Asper Dashkov, a water mage. Instead of a heart, he has ice, and other people’s destinies are nothing more than toys for him.
Third, together with this new world, as if from thin air, Mikhail Svetlov appeared—my communal apartment neighbor and the man who “has been in love with me for a long time.” Only I don’t remember him at all, as though in my previous life he had never existed.
At first, I thought I would do everything I could to break this magical reality and return back. But do I really need the old world anymore?
