The events of this light novel take place in an almost lifeless world surrounded by deserts inhabited by insect-like monsters… but what about people? Humanity is forced to live in mobile cities protected by defensive domes. And in order to distribute natural resources according to some kind of rules, people came up with an original solution. They hold competitions between cities, and therefore in every mobile city special attention is paid to the military training of future participants.
And then one fine day, a newcomer named Layfon Alseif appears at the academy of the city of Zuellni. This boy possesses truly incredible combat abilities, but despite that he chooses a peaceful specialty. But you can’t escape fate, and he is transferred to the Military Arts faculty and enrolled in the seventeenth platoon. This is a special platoon, since it is believed that all the academy’s losers gather there. After getting to know his new partners better, he realizes that each of them has a unique story behind them… And he himself radically changes his attitude toward battles.
