Parables are short allegorical instructive stories about incomprehensible, difficult-to-explain phenomena—the wisdom of many generations, an integral part of human culture. It is the art of words reaching straight into the heart.
Parables of different countries and peoples reflect different cultural and religious traditions, but they always encourage a person to reflect and carry kindness and love within them.
The audiobook "Christian Parables" consists of two parts. The first part includes biblical stories, among them the well-known Old Testament parables of Solomon’s judgment, Belshazzar’s feast, and the sold birthright, as well as Gospel parables of the prodigal son, the publican and the Pharisee, the good seed, and the tares.
The second part of the collection contains later parables that arose over the course of two thousand years of Christianity in addition to those included in the Bible, for example, the parable of the cross or the parable of the footprints in the sand.
