Through the Eyes of a Ghost

Seventeen-year-old Iris dreams of writing books and living an ordinary life, but a family quirk gets in the way: she sees ghosts — and by no means considers it a gift. During the holidays she returns to her snowy hometown by the lake, but even at the train station everything goes wrong: no one comes to pick her up, her mother behaves suspiciously, and for the first time in years the house is not decorated for the holidays. Something has clearly happened.

At night, Iris wakes up to an unclear knocking sound and notices Mrs. Bruni in the window across the way — the neighbor seems to lure her from the darkness of the attic. Iris rushes to her, but in the house she finds only a ghostly cat named Spirit. It turns out that Carlotta Bruni disappeared a month ago under mysterious circumstances. Trying to understand what happened, Iris begins to investigate — and step by step she gets closer to a shocking truth that is directly connected to her own self.
