Since the founding of the Russian Galactic Empire, 221 years have passed.

The reconnaissance-strike cruiser “Polar Fox” launches on a raid to find and destroy an important enemy target. And then—after completing the mission—during the jump, a graviton torpedo tears apart beside the cruiser. As a result of distortions in the subspace channel, it emerges not on its own historical branch and not in its time. The calendar reads: 1941 NE.

After some pause, the cruiser heads for Earth so that, in this timeline as well, it can carry out the Main Directive.
