If War Comes Tomorrow

On the night of October 1, 1939, Stalin saw a nightmare, which he interpreted as a warning from his subconscious about the possibility of Germany attacking the USSR. And the leadership of the Soviet state, even before the war, seriously began preparing precisely to repel aggression. The plan for a war with Germany was based on a strategy of deeply layered positional defense. Industry, armaments, and the army in the prewar period were reorganized to solve this task.
