In the 16th century, hundreds of residents of Strasbourg in Alsace were seized by an uncontrolled dance that lasted for days, exhausting them to death. Almost four centuries later, a similar dancing epidemic takes over a calm seaside town on Cape Cod. The police don’t know how to respond, panicked rumors spread, and the situation becomes so serious that it draws the attention of national media. For twelve-year-old Ben Graves and his two friends, this mysterious illness that makes people dance becomes a forewarning of an approaching horror.
