His Last Days

This is a novel about a writer. To achieve artistic authenticity for the book he’s working on—and to describe convincingly what it’s like to be in a psychiatric clinic—he imitates a mental disorder. But getting into the clinic turns out to be much easier than getting out of it. «His Last Days» is a novel about the boundaries of psychological normality and the nature of creativity—about how little people understand not only the world around them, but also themselves.
