Another Khayyam

Khayyam’s poetry is highly ambiguous and contains multilayered strata of meaning. His poems not only challenge any rigid system of views—they initiate us into new ways of thinking. In translation, priority was given to an adequate retransmission of poetic images, which serve as a kind of key to the original language of our inner consciousness and bring us closer to perceiving higher analogies.
