The Kingdom of Lothereamon is known as the land of dragon masters. During a special ritual, the inhabitants of Lothereamon can receive a mark on their bodies, with a dragon embryo inside. Those who bear this mark are admitted to the academy of dragon riders—Ansarivan. By the time the students of the academy complete their first year of common courses, a dragon grows from their mark, and from then on it becomes their lifelong companion. The dragon, in turn, receives astral energy through its bond with its rider.

The main character, Ash Blake, is one of the future dragon riders. Unlike other dragons, Ash’s dragon took the form of a girl named Eko. In addition, Ash himself has a unique ability to dominate other people’s dragons. The plot tells of his adventures.
