Come as You Are: The Story of Nirvana

The first edition was released in 1993. It was a monumental work compiled from dozens of exclusive and detailed interviews with the members of Nirvana—Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, and Dave Grohl—with their friends and family members. "Come as you are" is an intimate close-up portrait of Nirvana, revealing the phenomenon of a band that appeared out of nowhere and whose albums immediately started selling in multi-million copies. Whose voice embodied the confusion, disappointment, and passion of a new generation. That was the 1990s—and that is what it remains to this day. This is a book about rebels, not legends—about life, not fatality. A fresh story, different from all posthumous studies of their work.
