A continuation of the story about Min’ka the Sparrow. Min’ka lives in the city with his father. He dreams of a cadet corps, but it turns out getting in isn’t easy. First, Min’ka is small—he needs to build patience and wait two years. And second, the cadet corps accepts only the sons of military men in order to preserve the dynasty. Min’ka is in despair; he thinks fate is setting new obstacles for him.
