Black Summer

In the continuation of Michael Craven’s “The Puppet Show,” Detective Washington Poe faces another dangerous enemy. Previously, he investigated a series of terrifying murders where the victims were elderly men burned in stone circles. Now, a new villain is hunting him.

Jared Keaton is a famous chef known for his charisma and intelligence. But he poses a deadly threat—any person could become his victim.

Keaton was sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering his daughter, Elizabeth, but her body was never found, and all the evidence was circumstantial. Only thanks to Detective Poe’s efforts did they manage to put the psychopath behind bars. The story could have ended there—if not for one event.

Unexpectedly, a young woman arrives at the police with proof that she is Elizabeth Keaton—but soon she disappears. This puts Poe’s career and life at risk.

Poe has to figure out how a person can be both alive and dead. Time is relentlessly moving on.
