Amélie Vernor, a necromancer from an ancient line, uses a dark spell to avoid marrying an old necromancer—and ends up in Duke Targo Amrat de Guise’s bedroom. She faces serious punishment for her reckless act. She hides in a suitcase from the inquisitors. And from that moment on, chaos begins. The necromancer ends up on Earth and meets a new world, while Targo follows her to bring her back.
