Bulat Okudzhava. Just to Know and Live with It

Description
A story about an artist—the symbol of an era! Performed by theater and film actor Andrey Rudensky.

Despite the fact that this man’s name is well known not only across the post-Soviet space, but far beyond it, and that his songs are known even to those for whom the year 91 is right next to 1917, the details of Bulat Okudzhava’s life are still shrouded in a kind of silence. Of course, episodes, chronology, and the overall thread of events are not state secrets, but the myth created by Bulat Shalvovich to this day makes the life of the first bard of the country mysterious and little studied.

The work is based on a phantasmagoria—an unnamed manuscript found at one of the old writers’ dachas in Peredelkino, allegedly belonging to Okudzhava. An attempt to tell about the artist using a palette invented by him himself seems to be the only possible—and most appealing—approach for the modern reader.
