Bobik Visits Barbos and Other Stories

A truly good story should not only be instructive and interesting, but also fun. That’s exactly the kind of stories Nikolay Nosov wrote. “The Living Hat,” “A Patch,” “Shurik with His Grandfather,” and others—are simple tales in which the author describes various situations from children’s lives with humor. N. Nosov knows children’s psychology perfectly. In his works there is nothing contrived—they are realistic and accessible for a child’s perception. In Nosov’s stories, children speak exactly as children do. The easy, clear language without incomprehensible words immediately attracts a child, encouraging them to listen. The plots of the stories are fairly simple, but they are presented in an original way and always make you smile.
