Baron by Calling: The Path of a Nobleman

Antael is the world of people protected by the holy Midra—and whom the worm Ferderben wants to devour. This is a world where magic takes the form of items that, by chance, turn into enchanted artifacts. One such artifact is a box that duplicates anything. By the will of fate, Renfield Fast-Footed steals this oddity, which enrages its true owner—the prince Taderik. The whole island is engulfed in war that lasts almost sixteen years.

Baron Rayner Severin, a seasoned warrior, is recalled to the capital of the kingdom of Kronfest. He arrives for an audience with the prince, but immediately becomes a victim of palace intrigue and is forced to flee. At the very beginning of the difficult journey, the baron meets the thief Renfield Fast-Footed—the same one who also turned out to be in disgrace with the prince. Together, the fearless fighter and the cowardly young fellow run away. The partners still have to reach a safe place, but something worse than royal agents is chasing them.
