Description
In this episode, we have Anton Sakara, co-founder and creative director of the multimedia studio RAKETAMEDIA. He’s been working in motion design since 1998; for six years he held the position of art director at MTV Russia, collaborated with MTV Central Europe and Channel One. Anton is a TEFI laureate, a jury member of Motion Design Awards, a speaker at IBC Amsterdam, the main expert of the ArtMasters championship, author of the course “Motion Design,” a lecturer at HSE, and co-author of the studio Telegram channel “RAKETA is typing…”.

Traditionally, we talked with Anton about his professional path: how he entered the industry through television and ultimately launched his own multimedia design studio. We discussed how learning is organized within “Rocket” and which competencies are important for a newcomer to confidently enter the market and not get lost amid rapidly changing technologies. Anton shared practical tips on how to avoid critical mistakes when assembling a showreel for a portfolio, and also offered a creative challenge for listeners—the rules and references are available in the post for the episode in our Telegram channel. Enjoy listening!
