1904 Version 2.0 Book Two

1904. A world in which history took a different path.

Russia is no longer the same great power as in real life: it went beyond its own time, overtaking the century in technology, military art, and political will. But this future comes at a price—war on both ends of the world at once.

In South Africa, an alternative Anglo-Boer War flares up, where Russian units and Irish republicans, armed with weapons that couldn’t exist in the 19th century, fight side by side with the Boers against the British Empire. Armored vehicles, machine guns, new tactics—colonial war becomes a prototype of the world conflicts of the coming century.

In the Far East, a Russian-Japanese War of a different scale erupts. Ships enter the ocean as if from the future: super-dreadnoughts and line cruisers capable of shattering the usual balance of power. Battles for Port Arthur and Chemulpo become the arena where not only fleets collide, but two models of the world— the old one and the one that still shouldn’t have been born.

In the second book of the cycle, “1904. Version 2,” the lines of global confrontation converge: the intrigues of great powers intertwine with the fates of specific people, and victories turn out to be no less dangerous than defeats. The story accelerates, and it becomes clear that if Russia can keep this time fracture under control, the world will never be the same again.
