An ordinary day in Hell for the girl Yana ends with the appearance of an angel—its fleeting presence reminds her of the possibility of another life after death. She flees Hell, determined to find the angel, sincerely hoping he came for her.

As she passes through Hell’s gates, she meets the demon One, who becomes her companion, guide, and even friend. He will lead her through astonishing worlds up to the gates of Heaven, playing a game of his own—one that she doesn’t fully understand.
