Armchair Expert on Warfare

From the author—that is, from me. Good day, dear listeners. Today I will read you my story I wrote after a dispute on the internet with, to put it mildly, strange people—if not, I would even say, the fixated ones—who were rejoicing at the beginning of another local war. Watching all the videos from the front lines, they would choke with delight; the thought that war is garbage, blood, and hunger never even crossed their minds. I honestly tried to calm their online eagerness and explain that the most ardent pacifists on the planet—as paradoxical as it sounds—are the servicemen, because they’ll be sent first.

Yes, they will follow orders, but they’ll be there, not in front of screens, and they’ll have every chance either not to come back—or to return with a maimed soul and body… In any case, I took it and wrote this story. Maybe it will reach someone what I wanted to say. Maybe not.
