It all started with the most ordinary resort romance. On a beautiful summer day while on vacation by the sea, Sergey meets Natalia. The charming stranger immediately charmed him—she is smart and beautiful, educated and witty. With her, you don’t want to part. But then into the lives of the main characters unexpectedly bursts something mysterious: under very strange circumstances, Natalia’s little son disappears. She is devastated, and Sergey sets out to search. Something terrible is happening all around. Darkness thickens… A chain of inexplicable events, tragic and dangerous, does not stop the main hero. After all, he must find the boy—alive or dead. Only at the very end of the novel does Sergey manage to solve the mystery of the child’s disappearance. And the solution turns out to be truly monstrous.
