At the end of the nineteenth century in France, Lady Vivien Allerton planned a trip through Europe with her grandfather when she suddenly received an invitation to the estate “Lebanese Cedars,” where a family gathering was expected. Vivien’s father died a few years earlier, and although it looked like a natural death, her sister believes otherwise. On the day they arrive, she gives Vivien her father’s diary. Aunt Agnes thinks this diary could bring disaster and advises her to burn it to avoid danger. Vivien disregards this advice, but perhaps she should have been more careful, because tragic events begin to unfold at the estate soon after.
