Young writer Julia comes to Provence to stay with her grandmother Janine, who has faced problems. She finds a diary addressed to her, in which Janine describes her memory losses. A story about sunny Provence, filled with the scents of lavender and black truffles, as well as music of love, carries us into the atmosphere of half-forgotten secrets. Gradually, Julia uncovers her family’s story through the diary’s pages, full of drama, hope, love, and treachery. This immersion in the past changes Julia’s life, giving her forgiveness, inspiration, and hope. The novel is written with special warmth in memory of the author’s beloved grandmother, Anne-Gaël.
