A great-aunt (her mother’s uncle’s wife) is writing that near a Black Sea city a suitcase filled with gold, jewels, and paintings of the Russian avant-garde is hidden… Tanya decides to go searching for the treasure. But the moment she finds it and opens the cherished suitcase, she becomes the target of a real chase.

While trying to escape, Tanya races across the south of Russia in an effort to get away from her pursuers. Not only bandits and representatives of law-enforcement agencies are after her… A mysterious, unknown “third force” is also on the trail.
