Aspiring witch Varya — and the owner of a talking cat — and Anton, a detective, are preparing for their wedding. Everything is going perfectly for them: they love each other, have already passed the test of their feelings, and dream of a calm, happy life.
But a string of strange disappearances of young girls knocks Anton out of his usual routine in the small town of N. There are no leads, no traces, and between the missing girls there is no obvious connection.
At the same time, Anton’s ex-girlfriend, upon hearing about the upcoming wedding, decides to get him back at any cost. She turns to folk magic — and soon she, too, vanishes without a trace.
Varya and her red-haired cat take on their own investigation and track down the trail of a mysterious witch…
