For several years, Mikhail Garin, a 21st-century IT engineer, has been living in the 1970s. He writes computer programs, makes discoveries, and practically sends “petty letters” to the Politburo in sacks, while hiding from the secret services of several countries. But at last, the minimal plan is accomplished: the USSR firmly sets off on a new course. Changes in the state’s foreign and domestic policies reshape the flow of history, and the country’s collapse stops looming “on the horizon.”
And now it’s time for Misha to think about his own future, analyze his mistakes and achievements, and draw up a new plan—now the maximal one, leading the Soviet Union to the peaks of progress, toward building a truly real communist society.
But will Garin’s knowledge be enough? Or should he involve modern people in “building the dream”?
