The books by Alexander Zaitsev are interesting, among other things, because the author describes cold weapons and techniques of using them with great love and deep knowledge.

We present the audio version of the author’s most popular book, which became his calling card and has a huge fan base online. The novel “Tactics of Small Groups” is written in the setting of LitRPG, but it goes beyond genre canon—at least because it completely lacks system messages and logs.

A group of former avid players finds itself in a world unknown to them, where rules of behavior are regulated by some “judges.” Everyone is divided into several factions and must fight each other. Death here may be painful, but it is not critical: the player will be respawned.

The main character, who knows how to handle weapons, forms a team of allies under the outrageous name “The Society of Cross-Stitch Lovers.” This combat unit becomes a formidable force that earns respect in its own faction and fear among enemies. Level-ups for the members of the team are happening faster than planned, but besides the fun, there’s plenty that the hero doesn’t suspect.

While the game is already underway, the arbiters introduce new rules. And then the hero learns that in the event of defeat, the death of a player will no longer be a joke. This fundamentally changes battle tactics and the commander’s responsibility.
