Randal Corn, a successful district attorney, is famous for always winning in court. No one else in the country has sent as many people to the death penalty as he has. Corn even takes pleasure in watching sentences carried out—no matter whether the convicted are innocent.
Andy DuBois, a young man from the Alabama town of Baxtown, is accused of killing a girl whom everyone in the community loved. The evidence against him seems unassailable, and Corn has already set the stage for a swift trial and an electric chair verdict.
But the prosecutor never saw Eddie Flynn coming. This New York lawyer is convinced of Andy’s innocence and is ready to do everything possible to prove it. Eddie has only one week to save the man and find the true criminal. Corn, however, has no intention of backing down. He keeps the situation firmly under control and isn’t used to losing.
The court’s decision will be handed down in seven days. But will Eddie make it that far?
