Fates and Furies

A story about a long marriage that hides behind the facade of well-being many secrets. The reader gradually delves into the depths of the couple’s relationship, uncovering both dark and bright moments of their union. At the center of the narrative is a marriage that lasted almost twenty-five years. The plot begins with the honeymoon, when Mathilda and Lotto are young, full of love and hopes. Lotto, a wealthy heir who, together with Mathilda—fresh from university—stands on the threshold of a promising future. But they immediately face trials: Lotto’s mother doesn’t accept her daughter-in-law and deprives her of her son’s support.

Lotto will need a great deal of time to find his own path in life. The true events of their shared life gradually open to the reader through thrilling plot twists.
