A Sonnet with Incorrect Rhyme

The collection consists of fourteen stories, by the number of sonnet lines. The title of each one is a poetic quotation. Some are taken from classical poems by Fet, Annensky, or Blok. Each of the “source” poems resonates with the text of the corresponding story. The stories “rhyme” with one another. The action takes place in modern times. The characters investigate crimes, read poetry, search for treasures, suffer from jealousy, compose music, experience phobias of various kinds, ride bicycles, catch fish, and try to hide from the reproaches of their own conscience—yet in every story, there is some transformation of reality or of the hero.
