If you’re not meant to get married, no tricks will help. Allochka’s happiness was so close—her fiancé listened devotedly to tales about her apartment and her daddy-general, that the whole village side of the bride rejoiced. However, in the midst of the wedding preparations, a pack of some children ran up to the young woman, calling the stunned Allochka “mommy.” The fiancé was shocked no less and bolted. Relatives made the runaway reconsider. Truthfully, in the ceremonial moment of trying on a new engagement ring, he couldn’t handle the number of zeros on the price tag and… he did it in vain: during the escape he was killed by unknown people.
