Early in the morning of October 13, 1307, by the secret order of King Philip IV, arrests of members of the Order of the Temple began all across France, and their property and treasury were seized. That same day, seventeen Templar ships sailed out of the port of La Rochelle in an unknown direction, and the young Count Guitar de Beaujeu managed to secretly leave Paris, taking one of the Order’s relics with him.
Six hundred years later, a strange man came to Vanik Babayan, the owner of a funeral home in Kyiv, and offered him a huge sum of money to arrange a secret burial in an abandoned cemetery and then become the keeper of the grave. Babayan agreed. But he would have been better off not doing so!..
