Description
“Treer, son of Tryan, grandson of Greir from the northern dragons, loved thunder more than anything. Adults sometimes grumbled at him, ‘What kind of fun is that?’ But he would just catch lightning with his wings and fly away from the home island into the worst weather. They didn’t worry too much about him—though, sometimes they would growl for him not to get too carried away.

Still, he did fly even to the Great Ice—though, of course, if he’d been asked, they wouldn’t have allowed it. And once his father, in secret, told him: in his youth, he also misbehaved—he even flew south, but it was too hot for their tribe.

And then, one thing is to meet your relatives in a castle by the sea, and another is to fly across half the world! Besides, there are too many humans now—ships, airplanes, cannons everywhere—where is a decent dragon supposed to go, even if you really could fly to the Moon?!”
