Seryozha

The world of little Seryozha is books with pictures, games with the neighborhood kids, trips to the river, chickens and turkeys that lurk in the yard. Seryozha grows up, and each new day brings him discoveries: every person has a heart; maybe people live on Mars; and the animals don’t really talk. Like many children of the post-war time, Seryozha grows up without a father—until one day his mother says, “Korostelyov will now live with us.
