Description
For two centuries, a curse has hung over the younger daughters of a great Tuscan family: they are not destined to experience love, marry, and become mothers…
And even after the family moved to America, its power did not disappear.
Emily is quite content with a quiet life of solitude devoted entirely to caring for her loved ones, while Lucy desperately wants to get married and sees a future husband in every man she meets. But everything changes when their home welcomes Aunt Poppy with an unexpected request: for them to travel with her to Italy. There, on the day of her eightieth birthday, Poppy plans to meet the first—and only—love, and finally try to break the curse once and for all. The girls agree to the trip, not yet realizing that this journey will upend their destinies.
